“I’m just reaching out to say thank you for the huge part you played in making our day so perfect on Saturday but thank you really isn’t enough!!
You completely hit the ball out of the park! The flowers were so beautiful and exactly what I envisioned. I can’t believe I dot my wattle!! You went above and beyond in every sense, both on the day and in the lead up. It was a dream to work with you.
All the best from Brandon and I.”
Steph and Brandon
What a pleasure it was to work with this delightful couple. One of the reasons I love my job so much is because I get to meet and work with some truly kind and lovely people. I have said it before and I will say it again, it makes my heart happy to create the flowers for a couples very special day.
When Steph and I had our first meeting she was a little unsure on what floral elements she wanted but she knew the colour palette was white with loads of yellow flowering wattle.
I was SO excited to work with this vision. Being an early spring Wedding we had so many delightful flowers to work with including Ranunculus, Flannel flower, flowering magnolia and many more.
We had a little hiccup with the flowering wattle as the season had ended sooner than expected. Almost all of the growers at The Sydney Flower Market had depleted their stock but thankfully the flower gods sent us one lovely grower, Rick. Rick saved the day and we thanked our lucky stars he was able to deliver the most delightful flowering wattle for Steph and Brandon.
The floral elements for this wedding included two plinth arrangements and four aisle arrangements for the ceremony. Bud vases and candles for the reception and one very beautiful bridal bouquet with flowing, trailing ribbon. We repurposed the ceremony arrangements to sit at the bar and at the end of both long tables.
Steph and Brandon were such a pleasure to work with. They were so easy going and trusting of my abilities to create their wedding flowers and if I could relive this day, I would.
My favourite element of the day was the flowering wattle. Because this was an element that was tricky to get, not only did it make me extremely happy to be able to source it for Steph but it reminded me how important it is to work with the seasons and have strong relationships with our growers.
Thank you Steph and Brandon for trusting me to create floral magic for your very special day.
